Nick entered the field of restoration ecology in 1999 and joined Pizzo & Associates, Ltd. in 2004. He has experience in restoration ecology and professional prescribed fire. His responsibilities include stewardship scheduling, stewardship personnel training, and acting as burn leader. He manages the stewardship of over 100 natural area projects annually including invasive species control techniques based on plant life cycles and growing season, using prescribed fire as a maintenance tool, and increasing species diversity. He manages and oversees up to 21 employees daily and organizes both personnel and equipment for timely completion of the company’s stewardship workload. Nick is also responsible for regular communication with clients and/or project contacts, communicating schedule and planned activities for the site.
